Chief Instructor: Richard F. Moreno
Richard F. Moreno, the chief firearms instructor of American Academy of Protective Training (AAPT), is a professional firearms instructor and consultant with more than 30 years of experience. Richard has worked extensively in the personal protection and defensive training fields for an international security company. His experience as an instructor covers the entire spectrum of modern small arms. He conducts a variety of citizen, law enforcement, and military firearms training programs at various locations both national and international, as well as serving as a consultant specializing in personal, executive, and corporate security.

Assistant Chief Instructor: Eric Tittle
Eric Tittle is the assistant chief instructor of American Academy of Protective Training (AAPT), and a professional firearms instructor, that has contributing to the shooting community by designing and developing programs for both youths and adults such as the inner-city youth camp in partnership with The Safari Club International and a Counter Terrorist Training Course designed for the men and women of DHS, ICE and Border Patrol in concert with IACSP in an effort to give back to a community that has given him so much. He has a desire to help train new and current shooters on the proper safe handling of firearms. Josh is a firm believer in our Second Amendment. He wants to help train and educate responsible citizens behind these rights as they were established.

Apprentice Instructor: Joshua F. Moreno
Joshua F. Moreno is our youngest and most recent addition to our core cadre of talented instructors he has been teaching at The American Academy of Protective Training since July of 2011. Joshua is an LAPD police cadet and has undergone extensive training courses and tested his abilities alongside Active Duty Officers shooting on the F.A.S.T simulator and the notorious Hogan’s Alley to their amazement Joshua is out shooting some of the veteran police officers on both the simulator and live fire drills at the age of 17 and continues to develop his shooting skills and techniques by training at other firearms schools and academies across the nation.
